Mangaluru: Lifeguards Save Tourist from Drowning at Panambur Beach

Mangaluru: The lifeguards belonging to the Beach Tourism Development Project saved yet another life at Panambur on Friday.

Chetan Moolya (24), currently based in Mumbai, had come to the beach with others. When playing in water, a huge wave is said to have dragged him away over quite a distance.

The lifeguards who were at the beach immediately went to his rescue and pulled him out to safety.

The lifeguards have so far saved 99 persons from drowning at the beach.
