Mangaluru: Lion Bhoja Karkera Passes away – Eyes Donated to Fr Muller’s Hospital

Mangaluru: Lion A Bhoja Karkera (78), a resident of Naguri, died at his residence last weekend, following a brief period of illness.

He had served in various posts like the president of Lions Club Mangaladevi, manager of Brahma Baidarkala Garadi in Kankanady, director of Gokarnanatheshwara Cooperative Bank, trustee of Shri Sooryanarayana temple in Maroli and office-bearer of Alape block of Congress party.

As part of the Lions’ campaign for eye donation, he had pledged his eyes for the needy. Accordingly, his eyes were donated to Fr Muller Hospital’s eye bank.
