Mangaluru: Man Accused in Multiple Offences Held while Plotting to Murder in Bajal

Mangaluru: Talhat (28), a resident of Faisal Nagar in Bajal, was arrested by the CCB police on Friday.

He has been wanted in several cases of communal trouble, killing and attempts to murder. He has also been evading arrest and skipping court appearances.

On Friday, he was nabbed after the police received a tip-off that he was plotting to murder a person in Faisal Nagar. A dragon knife was found in his possession.

He is also said to have formed a gang of his own in Faisal Nagar and trying to created communal rift. Cases against him have been pending, out of which are registered in the rural police station alone.

Eight of them are at the stage of hearing. He has been abstaining from the courts in the meantime.

He is alleged to have been involved in the murder of Abdul Rahiman aka Sanna Putta in 2011 and that of the manager of Kanchana Textiles in 2012.

Talhat has been handed over the rural police for further proceedings.
