Mangaluru: Mandd Sobhann and Tiatr Academy of Goa to host ‘Konkani Filmotsav’ in City

Mangaluru: Addressing the media persons during a press meet held at Mangalore Press Club, Eric Ozario-Gurkar of Mandd Sobhann said, “Though many Konkani movies are produced and released in Goa, because they are not screened in Mangaluru, except the ones produced in Karnataka (which are far in between), the general impression is that there are hardly any movies in Konkani. In an attempt to clear this wrong impression and also to promote Konkani cinema, Mandd Sobhann in association with Tiatr Academy of Goa, is organizing the Konkani Filmotsav from July 10th to the 16th, 2015 (for 7 days), screening 7 films (one each day), at Bharath Big Cinemas, Mangaluru – in a Festival called ‘Konkani Filmotsav’.”
