Mangaluru: Manipal Hospitals to conduct free screening for 10000 people on the occasion of ‘World Heart Day’

Mangaluru: Manipal Health Enterprises, one of India’s largest healthcare chains, will be conducting free heart screening for as many as 10,000 people on account of ‘World International Heart Day’, which is observed every year on September 29.

The free screening will be facilitated simultaneously across all the units of Manipal Hospitals namely Bengaluru, Jaipur, Goa, Salem, Vijayawada, Vishakhapatnam and KMC Mangaluru. In Mangaluru, the screening will be held on Sunday, September 27 at KMC Hospital Jyothi Circle and Attavar between 9 am to 5 pm.

This noble gesture by Manipal Hospitals is the first of its kind. With an increasing number of cardiac cases in the country, Manipal Hospitals took a pledge to create awareness and the precautions that need to be taken across several spectrums of our health, which includes, gender, age and lifestyle.

The occasion will be marked by several awareness activities like distribution of Healthy Heart Package Leaflets, BS and ECG screening, Height/weight profiling, free Blood Pressure check-up camp and ‘Health Talk’ by the Cardiologists and CTVS surgeons. This will definitely help people to get an overview about their heart and preventive measures can be taken to avoid coronary risks.
