Mangaluru: Materials Stolen from Vamanjoor Koragajja Shrine Found in Pachanady

Mangaluru: Some materials made of copper, panchaloha, bronze and silver, related to routine rituals, had been stolen from the shrine of Koragajja Seva Trust at Mangala Jyoti in Vamanjoor on the outskirts.

They included what are locally known as ‘sattige’ and ‘prabhavali’. The total loss was estimated at Rs 40,000.

When two youth went near a bush in Pachanady to answer the call of nature, they spotted some of the materials abandoned there. A copper prabhavali and a gold item were found.

The rural police from Maroli were informed. They confirmed that they belonged to the Koragajja shrine in Vamanjoor.

They took the materials into their custody for further action.
