The 3000sq ft showroom Track and Trail  is owned by Dileep Kumar Shetty. The showroom also provides various other services besides selling tyres. Speaking to mangalorean.com,Pradeep, a Bosch technician said that the showroom uses German technology provided by Bosch. The wheel alignment is done using an eight camera 3D technology. “It is the first time in India that such a technology is being used,” he said. Using this technology perfect wheel alignment can be done in 10-15 minutes. The tyre changing system uses ‘Run Flat Tyre’ technology. This technology allows the car to run 80km more after a puncture. The tyres are filled with nitrogen gas, which gives the tyre a longer life. Perfect wheel balancing is also done using German Bosh machine.

Madhukar Rai, a relative of Dileep said that, the Mangaluru showroom is the second Pirelli showroom in India. The other one is in Mysuru. Pirelli are the official sponsors for Formula 1 race tyres. The showroom also has Formula 1 tyres in stock. All types of car tyres are available in the showroom. He said that the tyres are manufactured in Italy and are imported to Mangaluru via Delhi. “We expect to sell up to 400 tyres every month,” he said.

The first customer, Bharath Kumar Shetty was present at the inaugural function. Speaking to mangalorean.com he said, “I have used Pirelli before and I am quite satisfied with it. I am happy I got Pirelli Tyres in Mangaluru and did not have to go all the way to Mysuru.”

The showroom is air conditioned and hosts a coffee shop for customers to wait. Other dignitaries were also present.
