Addressing the gathering, Naveen D’Souza said, “Nowadays, people from the Gulf and other far away places come to Mangaluru for treatment. Let Parin clinic meet their needs.” Naveen also said that the clinic should be a model for the entire city and wished the best to the doctors.

Dr G K Bhat speaking on the occasion said that there is a shortage of doctors in other districts. “People from Kodagu, Uttara Kannada and other places come to Mangaluru for treatment. This clinic is in the heart of the city and the doctors who have started this clinic have already made a name through their medical skills. Now, the patients can directly come to their clinic and meet the doctors at their convenient time.”

DHO Dr Ramakrishna speaking on the occasion congratulated all the seven doctors for their initiative in opening the multi-specialty clinic at Balmatta. He also advised the doctors to treat all the patients equally. “The main aim of the doctors should be to treat the patients to recover from their problems,” he said and wished them success.

Addressing the gathering, Corporator Vinay Raj said that Mangaluru is one of the fastest growing cities in Karnataka. “The city is growing fast and we are addicted to fast food. We have changed our life style and we want everything to be fast. When we depend more on fast food, we face health problems. When people come from other districts, sometimes doctors are tempted to overcharge them. I hope that Parin clinic will provide better health facilities to the people who come here.”

The eight doctors who joined hands to start the ‘Parin Clinic’ are Dr Ishwar Keerthi, Dr Harsha Prasad, Dr Prashanth, Dr Raghuveer, Dr Damodhar, Dr Satish, Dr Sadashiv Rao  and Dr Mayur Prabhu.
