This election is an inspiration for the BJP leaders. We promise that we will work for the development of Dakshina Kannada district. The administration of the UPA government in Karnataka is a total failure. Congress government came to power in the state promising to wipe away the tears of the people but it has become deaf to the cries of the farmers. Many farmers have committed suicide in Karnataka and this has happened under the congress administration.”

He further said , “The congress government is not with the farmers, they have not given the ownership rights for Kumki land to the farmers. In 2013 we had issued a notification for providing ownership rights to the farmers for the Kumki land but it did not come into force. Rubber plantation farmers in the state are in distress due to the fall in price for rubber. If the congress government would announce the minimum support price, then they could get funds from the Union government to the State government . But the congress government is just not ready to fulfil the demands of rubber growers. The Congress government has given us enough opportunities to win the upcoming ZP and TP elections,” he said.

“Congress administration is nothing but a administration of “Passing Statements”. Rather than passing statements against the BJP they should work for the development of the district. In this panchayat elections congress has done nothing to strengthen the rights of the panchayat workers. For the upcoming panchayat elections BJP has taken all the steps both strategically and on humanitarian grounds. The steps taken by BJP will not go in vain,” he added.

When questioned about Yettinahole project he said, “Next week we will go to Kolar and discuss the issue with the people of Kolar. Now the people of Kolar have also understood that they will not get water from the Yettinahole project.”

President DK BJP Pratap Simha Nayak, Krishna J Palemar, Lalaji Mendon and other BJP leaders were also present.
