Mangaluru: NMC to Launch Again – Rahim Uchil

Mangaluru: Rahim Uchil held a press meet at the Mangalore Press club in Urwa here, on December 29.

Addressing the mediapersons chief publisher of New Mangalore Channel, Rahim Uchil said, “The local news channel New Mangalore Channel(NMC) that used to be telecasted in the 90’s was discontinued due to various reasons. We are re-launching with a new news programme which will officially be telecasted on 1 January 2016.

The programme will be telecasted every night at 9:00pm to 9:30pm and morning 9:00am to 9:30am in Kudla 24*7 news channel which comes under the Asianet Cable giant.”

The channel is telecasted in Shivamoga with 20000 subscribers, Chitraduga with 18000 subscribers, Sringeri with 2500 subscribers and Mangaluru with 8000 subscribers.

Rahim claimed that the programme will not support any particular party or religion. “The channel will telecast clear news,” he said.
