Mangaluru: No permission to Collect Funds for Chennai Floods – DC Ibrahim

Mangaluru: The Deputy commissioner A B Ibrahim in a press release has stated that, some organizations as well as individuals are collecting funds for the Tamilnadu flood victims. The District administration nor the government has not directed any organization nor any individual to collect funds for Chennai Floods.

The government of Tamilnadu has already refused to take any funds from other states, in this regard the district administration is not collecting any funds. The district administration has also directed the people of the district not donate towards Chennai floods and also refuse any help to people coming to their house for collection in the name of Tamilnadu floods.

To rescue people from Karnataka who have been missing or trapped in the Chennai floods they may call Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre Bengaluru on 1070 (free) or 080 22340676. Details of trapped or missing persons can be sent to officers in Tamilnadu who will take necessary action and trace them.
