Mangaluru: NRI’s House in Vamanjoor Burgled – Use of Chemical Spray Suspected

Mangaluru: A house in Saipangallu in Vamanjoor on the outskirts, belonging to Joachim Lobo, who lives abroad, was burgled in the night of July 23.
Thieves gained access into the house by twisting the steel bars on the window by apparently making use of a handlebar. They appear to have searched for valuables all about the house and taken away gold ornaments of four sovereign worth, two mobile phones, a watch and Rs 2,500 in cash.
In spite of so much noise made, the family members were not disturbed from their sleep, which has surprised the neighbours and the police too. It is suspected that the culprits may have used some chemical spray to put them to deep slumber.
