Mangaluru: Record Turnout of 75,000 Visitors to Pilikula in Two Days

Mangaluru: To mark the 125th birth anniversary of India’s first prime minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the district administaration organized a two-day MakkaLa Habba (kids’ fest) in the Pilikula complex on Nov 21 an 22.

It was originally scheduled to be held on Nov 14 and 15 but had been held over in view of the prohibitory orders in force that week.

In all over 75,000 including children visited the park and enjoyed themselves in a festive mood. Among them 55,000 were students.

The organizers were only sorry about not being able to provide eats all the children, because the turnout was far beyond their expectations. But those who did not get eats were compensated by other gifts.
