Mangaluru: Rider Alwyn D’Souza Injured in Bus Mishap at Nanthur Dies

Mangaluru: Alwyn D’Souza, who was seriously injured after a service bus lost control at Nanthur near Chefs restaurant and knocked him down on July 25, died in KMC hospital here on August 19.


On July 25, Alwyn D’Souza along with his wife Pramila were on their way to work. A bus “Srivasuki”, bearing registration number KA 19 C 5018, that was plying from Polali towards Statebank hit their bike at Nanthur, moving on to hit another two wheeler, a college student and an auto rickshaw. Later, it came to an halt near Shivabagh.



Six people were injured in the mishap and they were admitted to various hospitals in the city. Alwyn D’Souza was rushed to KMC hospital and breathed his last on August 19.

His funeral will be held on August 21 at 4:00 pm at Derebail Church.
