Mangaluru: School of Social Work Celebrates Annual Day

Mangaluru: The School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya celebrated the college annual day here, on 22 December. The day was celebrated with immense joy. The formal function began at 5:00 pm with an opening chorus by the college choir.

The cabinet and escorts welcomed the chief guest. Athena Maria Aranha, president of Student Cabinet, Roshni Nilaya welcomed the chief guest Jacintha Vijay Alfred, Mayor of Mangalore City Corporation.

The chief guest expressed her happiness on being a part of the annual day celebrations and said that Roshni Nilaya has made her the person she is now. She wished the students and the college success.

The formal programme was compered by Ann Tharakan. Prizes for meritorious students, special prizes and awards were given to the students who have achieved in various categories. The formal programme concluded with the vote of thanks by Spoorthi K Philomena, General Secretary of the Student Cabinet.

Azmeera Shahzeen and Neha Hanif compered the cultural programme. The students gave various performances like Kannada song, Kathak, Kannada drama, folk dance (kamsale), French song, fusion dance and English drama. The programme concluded with the college anthem.
