Mangaluru: Second list of Candidates will be announced on February 5 – Moideen Bawa

Mangaluru: MLA Moideen Bava held a press meet at his office in MCC Lalbagh here on February 4.

Addressing the mediapersons Moideen Bawa said, “Elections to zilla and taluk panchayats in the state will be held in two phases on February 13 and 20. The second list of Congress supported candidates will be announced by Feb 5 afternoon. With this the Mysuru zonal level meet of party workers will be held on February 6. About 4,000 party workers from Mangaluru zone will participate in the meet. Around 40 buses have been organized for all the blocks by our organizing presidents. Steps will be taken to motivate the workers and highlight the importance of the panchayats for the upliftment of the country.”




He further said, “Both HK Patil and CM Siddaramaiah have discussed and organized the convention. We must show our popularity to others by winning this upcoming ZP/TP polls. We need to win these polls not only by our strategies but also with every ones support. Congress workers will give their best to upgrade this zilla. If congress wins this panchayat elections it will help in implementation of the Pashchima Vahini scheme and thus help Udupi and Dakshina Kannada districts. MP Nalin Kumar has been opposing the Yettinahole project just for political and personal gains, he said.”

“On 21 February Sankupoonja-Devupoonja Jodukere Kambla Samiti Vamanjoor will hold “Tulunadina Kambla”. Our district supports Kambla and it has been a traditional sport of the coastal district. We will see that no animals will be hurt in any way. District Minister In-Charge B Ramanath Rai will also be present on this occasion.
