Mangaluru: Shops and Restaurants Ordered to Shut down by 8 pm

Mangaluru: In view of disturbances that have hit the city and other areas in the district, the police have ordered all shops, restaurants and other establishments to shut down by 8 pm on Sunday also.

Police vans fitted with public address systems went around the city cautioning the public that prohibitory orders under IPC sn 144 would be still in force until 10 pm on Sunday, Nov 15.

In Bantwal, shops and restaurants in Melkar and other sensitive areas were ordered to shut down by 6 pm as a precautionary measure.

  2. Sensitive areas, uh? I like the code word used by district authorities. Adyaar, Paane mangaluru, brahmara kootlu, melkaar, parangipete, kalladka, kabaka – all these places have one thing in common!!! No wonder they are ‘sensitive’ areas!! Why am I feeling very peaceful? smiles…

    Sir,Yes!It is only BJP has the right to watch forbidden ‘Porn’ within the sanctity of assembly by the elected members.

    The citizens of India has no right to eat what they want but PM Modi “Modi ji toh keh rahe the ki ache din aayenge, yahan toh achhi raatein bhi chali gayi hain.However experts claim that if the ban is not reversed, it could severely impact electoral prospects of BJP in urban areas.
