Mangaluru: St Agnes College to host the First Multi-District level ‘Teachers Talent Contest’

Mangaluru: Addressing the media persons during the press meet held at Mangalore Press Club, Sr M Supriya AC- Principal of St Agnes College said, : On the eve of ‘Teachers Day Celebration’ the Cultural Association of St Agnes College (Autonomous) will be organizing a Two-day Multi-District Level Teachers Talent Competition-“Teachers Got Talents” for the school and college teaching faculty of all the schools and colleges of three districts namely DK, Udupi and Kasaragod on 29 and 30 August, 2015.The contest will be conducted under two categories- Category 1-Teaching faculty up to High School level; and Category II-Teaching Faculty of PUC and Degree Colleges”.

Each of the category consists of 10 events like Singing (solo/group), Dance, Rangoli, Flower arrangement, Vegetable Carving, Fancy Dress, and variety to win the “Teachers Got Talents 2015”. This contest is an unique platform for the teachers to expose their creativity and hidden talents, which will help them to move beyond the confines of academics. Nearly 25 institutions have already signed up for the contest.

The Contest will be inaugurated by Vinay Hegde-Chancellor of Nitte University on 29 August at 12 noon, and valedictory will be held on 30 aug at 5pm, for which Sr Maria Roopa-Jt Secretary of St Agnes College will deliver the valedictory address and distribute the prizes.

Professor Shubharekha- the co-ordinator, Deepika-SAC student President, Rachael Coelho-Secretary, Cultural Association, and Rayvia D’souza-member of Cultural Association- all of St Agnes college were present at the press meet.
