Mangaluru: Theft of Cash and Gold Worth Rs 2.30 Lakh from Vas Lane Home of Trader

Mangaluru: Thieves broke into the house belonging to U K Mohammed Imtiaz, a trader from Bunder, located on Vas Lane around the weekend.

He had locked the house and gone to his shop and the theft was executed in his absence. What has worried the immediate residents is that the theft might have taken place during daytime.

He noticed the theft when he returned home in the night. The miscreants appear to have broken the lock of the backdoor and entered the house.

Gold ornaments weighing 52 gms worth Rs 1.30 lakh and Rs 1 lakh in cash have been taken away.

A case has been registered at the Kadri police station.
