Mangaluru: Theft of Cash and Valuables from Lobo House in Bajpe Police Limits

Mangaluru: Thieves broke into a house on Alake Pavan road in Badaga-ulipady village in the taluk last week.

Mary Lobo, in a complaint to the Bajpe police, has stated that the house was broken open on Saturday evening when no one was around. The front door lock was broken and with the help of the keys lying around, the cupboard was easily opened.

Rs 1,37,000 in cash in a bag and a pair of earring, two rings, three bangles and two gold chains from another bag have been taken away.

The negligence in keeping the cupboard keys in an open place has been blamed for the theft. Possibility of the involvement of someone who was aware of the practice has not been ruled out.
