Mangaluru: Three More Lives Saved by Lifeguards at Panambur Beach

Mangaluru: The lifeguards at the Panambur took their total tally of rescued lives so far to 159 by saving three persons from drowning on Friday.

The rescued persons are Mastan Sheikh (19), Imran Khan (24) and Akram Sheikh (25), all said to be of Mumbai origin and employed with MRPL near the city.

The day being a holiday on account of Ganesh Chaturthi, the trio had arrived at the beach to spend the leisure time. While swimming in the sea, mighty waves are said to have dragged away.

The alert and watchful lifeguards swung into action and brought them to safety.
