Mangaluru: Traffic Violators in District Cough out Rs 64.15 Lakh in Fines until August 2015

Mangaluru: According to police sources, as many as 27,623 cases of traffic violations have been registered in 2015 until end-August. These cases have fetched fines aggregating to Rs 64,14,180 in these first eight months.

Comparative figures are as follows:

2014 – 32,220 cases – Rs 60,59,450 in fines

The media release also says that the traffic policemen serving in the district have been provided with reflective baton, gloves and traffic batons.
