Mangaluru: Two Accused of Slur on Religion and Attempt to Proselytize

Mangaluru: Asha of Kajepadavu has filed a complaint against Peter of Kaikamba and Francis of Suratkal alleging that they had indulged in attempt to lure persons of other religions to join theirs.

She has stated that the duo went from door to door distributing literature and handbills undermining other religions, saying their their deities would not ensure eternal redemption. Instead, they wanted the woman and others to join their faith.

In a counter complaint, the two have alleged that when they were engaged in propagation of faith, Asha, joined by others, had assaulted them.

Peter and Francis were arrested from Kajepadavu and produced in court.
