Mangaluru: Two Arrested for Planning to Kill Entrepreneur at Vamanjoor

Mangaluru: Two persons have been arrested by the CCB police at Vamanjoor, near St Joseph’s College here on June 22. The arrested have been identified as Surya Kumar (34), from Jappinanmogaru and Pavan Raj Shetty (18), son of Vamanjoor Rohi, Amrit Nagar, Vamanjnoor.

Surya Kumar was earlier arrested by the CCB police in connection with the murder case of Vasudev Shenoy which was registered in the Barke Police station, attempt on the life of Vicky case in South police station and also a Ganja peddling case.

It is learnt that, on June 22, Surya and Pavan were plotting to murder a entrepreneur near St Joseph’s Engineering College and carrying deadly weapons in their vehicle. On getting information the CCB police raided the place and arrested both of them. The police seized a Yamaha Fazer motorbike, 3 machetes, knife, 250 gram ganja and mobile phone from their possession.

Pavan Raj suspected that the entrepreneur was helping his father’s murderers. He kept a eye on the entrepreneur and prepared a sketch to finish him.

The arrested have been handed over to the Mangaluru Rural police station for further investigation.

The operation was conducted by CCB inspector Valentine D’Souza, PSI Shyam Shyam Sunder under the guidance of police commissioner, S Murugan, DCP Law and Order K M Shantaraju.
