Mangaluru: Two Youth Attacked with Machetes – Rivalry Suspected

Mangaluru: Two youth were injured when miscreants assaulted them with machetes at Alake here, on July 27.

The injured have been identified Latish (26), a resident of Bokkapatna and Inderjit (24), a resident of Kudroli. Both were rushed to the hospital.

According to the police, two persons arrived in a Maruti 800 car with machetes and assaulted Latish and Inderjit at Alake. Later, they fled from the spot leaving the car.

It is also learnt that in 2012, Inderjit and his gang had kidnapped Vicky from Kodikal and assaulted him. In this regard a case was registered in Urva police station. To take revenge for the kidnap and assault, Vicky along with five others attempted to murder Inderjit at Alake.

From Alake When the attackers reached near Mannagudda, due to some technical fault their car did not move further. They stopped a bike rider, took his bike and fled on it. In this regard a robbery case has also been registered in the Barke police station.

The Kadri police recovered the machetes used for the crime and also seized the car. A case has been registered in the Kadri police station.
