Mangaluru: Verbal Exchanges Continue in District Jail – Ugly Turn Averted by Staff

Mangaluru: Gang enmity and one-upmanship appear to be deep-rooted among the inmates of the city jail.

It was only two days ago that a minor fight had broken up between two groups. Two persons were reportedly hospitalized, although no official word is available.

Verbal spats are reported to have continued even on Friday and Saturday. The jail personnel, now obviously wiser and more watchful, intervened on both the days and averted an ugly turn of events.
