Mangaluru: Vithoba Temple Belongs to Entire GSB Community, Rules Civil Court

Mangaluru: A suit had been filed in the fourth additional civil court here regarding the rights to hold the annual ‘bhajana’ week in Shri Vithoba Rukumayi temple in the city by the managing trustee.

M Varadaraya Prabhu had sought a permanent stay against managing trustee Maroli Surendra Kamath from holding the annual event.

The court has recently ruled that the temple does not belong to any single family but to the whole Gowda Saraswat Brahmin community.
