Mangaluru: Woman Inflicts Burn Wounds on Neighbour’s Son for Wetting Bed!

Mangaluru: A bizarred case of a woman making a neighbour’s four-year-old feel the ‘heat’ for a minor, unintended fault has been reported from Ullal police station.

Veena D’Souza, who works as a nurse in a private hospital, had requested her neighbour, Ayesha of Jalal Bagh in Deralakatte, to look after her son Ranson Mathias all through her night shift period.

On Sep 16 night, the young boy happened to wet the bed at Ayesha’s house. Annoyed over it, Ayesha reportedly ‘punished’ him by inflicting burn wounds on his hand, by using a gas stove lighter.

On receiving a complaint from Veena D’Souza, the Ullal police arrested Ayesha and later let her out on bail.
