Mangaluru: Woman’s Chain Snatched While Walking on Ullal Railway Platform

Mangaluru: Now-a-days there have been an increase in the number of chain-snatching cases in and around the city. People are afraid to walk on the road. Chain snatchers come on bikes, snatch gold chains from victims neck and speed away.

On October 1, at around 6:30 am, Bharati (name changed) along with her husband was walking on the Ullal Railway platform. They saw a youth aged between 20 to 25 years, sitting on a bench on the platform. When they moved further, the youth followed them, snatched the chain from Bharati’s neck and fled the place by bike.

The chain is said to be worth around Rs 30,000. A case has been registered in the Ullal police station.
