Manipal: House on Alevoor Road Looted on Pretext of Asking for Drinking Water

Manipal: A man sneaked into a house located on Alevoor road after asking for drinking water and stole cash and valuables on August 19.

The house belongs to Krishna Poojary. When his mother was alone in the house, one Prabhat, known to the family, is said to have come there asking for drinking water. As he was a familiar person, she got in to fetch water for him.

He is said to have got inside and taken away two mobile phones, a tab, a laptop, an electronic stove and Rs 4,000 in cash from the house.

The total value of the stolen goods is estimated at Rs 46,000. A complaint has been filed in the police station here.
