Manipal: Police Raid Vice Den in Ishwar Nagar – Two Arrested, Four Women Rescued

Manipal: In a joint operation, the police from here and the DCIB raided a house named Soha Shahzad at VI cross in Ishwar Nagar, which was allegedly being used for sex trade, on Tuesday.

Ashok Achary and Aisha (name changed), who were reportedly running the vice den, were arrested.

Two others, Riaz Katapadi and another woman, escaped during the raid. Four women, hailing from different states, were rescued in the operation.

Reports said that women from distant places were being trafficked and employed in sex trade here. A wider network of woman-traffickers could be operating, said police sources.
