Mumbai, Dec 29 (IANS) Actress Mansi Srivastava, best known for her roles in shows like “Rab Se Sohna Isshq” and “Do Dil Bandhe Ek Dori Se”, will next be seen on the small screen as Sati (also known as Parvati) in the popular TV show “Neeli Chhatri Wale”.

Just like Shivaye (Himanshu Soni) is only visible to Bhagwan Das (Rajesh Kumar), Parvati will be seen only by his wife Bobby (Disha Savla).

The upcoming plot of the show will see Bhagwan Das sharing his increasing tussles with Bobby as a concern with Shivaye, who will remind him of his own squabbles with Parvati. So, he counsels Bhagwan Das drawing references from his own relationship with Parvati.

“I’m excited to do a mythological show and I’ll mostly be seen as a goddess. The weird part is that we are shooting ‘Neeli Chhatri Wale’ at a location that used to be the set of ‘Do Dil Bandhe Ek Dori Se’, which I did earlier,” Mansi said in a statement.

“I’ve been given the same make-up room that I used back in those days. It seems like a good start and I feel nostalgic. I’m very comfortable on this show even though it is a challenging genre to work on,” she added.

The Zee TV show depicts a unique friendship between man and god.

Mumbai weather takes a toll on ‘Ye Hai Mohabbatein’ crew

While “Ye Hai Mohabbatein” is being aired on all seven days of the week, the cast and crew of the popular soap opera is finding it difficult to shoot for episodes daily due to a drop in temperature in Mumbai.

According to a source from the set, while shooting for an underwater sequence and crocodile track earlier, the people behind the camera faced a lot of problems because there was no episode-bank.

“For the entire sequence, the crew had to be in water. They all had to be in the river for a good 10 hours to ensure that the scene comes out well. Our shift that day had started at seven in the morning and we packed up only at three in the early morning,” the source said.

“Next we know is everybody had fallen sick or got some infection thanks to the weather of Mumbai which has dropped down drastically. Having literally no (episode) bank at all, we’re having a tough time in delivering an episode and juggling between our health and content of the show to make it look that real,” the source added.

Because of this, each episode is taking longer to shoot than normal, leaving the cast and crew with no holiday.

“Ye Hai Mohabbatein”, which is aired on Star Plus, features Karan Patel, Divyanka Tripathi, Ruhanika Dhawan and Anita Hassanandani, among others.
