Mark Wahlberg to join LeBron James in ‘Ballers’

Los Angeles, Sep 22 (IANS) Actor Mark Wahlberg will join NBA superstar LeBron James in the upcoming basketball fantasy camp comedy film “Ballers”.

Wahlberg revealed during an appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on Tuesday that he was in discussions for the role, reports variety.com.

While showing a photograph of himself with James, Wahlberg said: “He and I are talking about doing a movie together. It’s actually a great idea. It’s based around the fantasy league, so these guys get to go to one of these fantasy camps, and me and LeBron have a situation.”

The movie was first unveiled three years ago with Kevin Hart attached to co-star as the brother of an NBA superstar at a weekend fantasy camp. Hart is no longer part of the project.

Other details about the film are still not clear.

Wahlberg will be seen next in action-adventure “Deepwater Horizon”, which will release on September 30.
