Media Effect: Reader Helps to Trace Missing Boy

Mangaluru: A report appeared in these columns that Muhammed Safwan (13), son of Suleiman of Kolnad in Bantwal taluk, was missing since June 14.

On that day, he had left for school but had neither reached the school nor returned home. A complaint in this connection had been filed at the Vittal police station.

A reader widely circulated the photograph on WhatsApp and he got a reply that the boy had been traced in Mangaluru. Finally, he boy was reunited with the family, after informing the police.
