Meti repeatedly raped me claims, Bagalkot woman
Bengaluru, (DHNS): The sex scandal allegedly involving senior Congress MLA and former minister H Y Meti took a new twist on Thursday with the victim seeking police protection, expressing threat to her life from the politician’s family and his supporters.
Vijayalakshmi Saroor of Bagalkot district submitted a three-page petition to DG&IGP Rupak Kumar Dutta and Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Subash Chandra, seeking protection.
“Meti, members of his family and his supporters will be responsible if something happens to me and members of my family. There is a threat from them. I need protection and the police should act as per the law regarding charges against Meti,” she stated in the petition.
She claimed in the petition that she was repeatedly raped by Meti, while members of his family and supporters kept her in illegal custody besides threatening her.
Vijayalakshmi maintained that she was kept in illegal custody at a farm house at Devanal village and Keertinagar in Vijayapura. She returned to work only after Meti got a clean chit from the CID on March 24, 2017.
