MIM to contest Bihar elections from Seemanchal: Owaisi

Hyderabad (PTI): All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) today said it will contest the upcoming Bihar State Assembly elections from Seemanchal region.

MIM chief Assaduddin Owaisi said his party will contest the election but will limit itself to Seemanchal region, which comprise mainly four districts – Araria, Purnea, Kishanganj, Katihar.

“We are limited to Seemanchal area of Bihar. We are realistic about our chances of winning. We know our strengths and weaknesses. It is in the interest and justice of Seemanchal region we are contesting elections there,” Owaisi said without disclosing the number of seats his party will contest.

He replied in the negative when asked about the pre-poll alliance with other parties. “Bihar’s development parameters are bad. But when it comes to Seemacnhal it is worse. That’s why we want the government to set up a regional developmental council under Article 371,” he said.

Owaisi held Congress, BJP, Nitish Kumar and other parties as responsible for the underdevelopment of the region.

When asked about the division of votes when the party contests without any alliance, the MIM leader said the NDA won with great majority even when his party was not in the poll fray in Jammu and Kashmir and local body elections of Rajasthan.

“Did I contest in Delhi elections? Did I contest in J&K elections. Did I contest in Municipal elections of Rajasthan? This is a wrong allegation which has no relevance. So-called secular parties have lost their credibility,” he said.

MIM, which has two seats in the Maharashtra assembly, has appointed Akhtar Imam as president of AIMIM’s Bihar unit.

  1. “When asked about the division of votes when the party contests without any alliance….” – Report.

This shows how some of the reporters and media are always thinking of ‘vote bank’ politics. Whose division of votes they are referring to? Well, one can easily guess the target voters for MIM. We are not talking about Budhists or catholic votes here!! LOL Imagine reporters asking the same question on division of ‘hindu’ votes!! It would be immediately seen as ‘saffron’ politics with clear intention to help BJP!!! Well, this is the sad state of ‘secular’ India!!

When the reporters and the media asked Owaisi about his vote bank politics, it is RSS Pai who offers an unsolicited explanation saying, “LOL Imagine reporters asking the same question on division of ‘hindu’ votes!! It would be immediately seen as ‘saffron’ politics with clear intention to help BJP!!!”

Who has posed this question to the RSS for Pai to be perturbed and apologetic?

  2. MIM to contest Bihar elections from Seemanchal: Owaisi

    Dear readers,

Is he acting as a BJP agent spoiling the secular vote bank. The BJP may be already cheering is entry into Bihar politics. The Amit Shah theory has already working in by breaking grand alliance by first Maha Dalits with Former CM exit, then Yadav’s close to RJD splitting apart and forming own parties. Now Mulayam shaking hand with BJP.Finally Owasis entry weakening the Muslim vote bank which can tilt the balance in 16 districts same as Maharashtra impact.

As pre and post poll exit survey is already banned by the election commision, BJP is certainly succeeded in breaking the secular votes and retaining the upper cast.

BJP is certainly leading with thin margin which may lead to hung assembly and leading to horse trading.

    Jai Hind
