Minor Delhi girl gangraped in Rajasthan, six held

New Delhi (IANS) A 17-year-old girl, who was taken to Rajasthan by her neghbour on the pretext of providing her job, was kept captive at an hotel for two days and gangrapd by over a dozen people there, police said on Monday. Six people have been arrested.

A case regarding the incident was registered at Mangolpuri police station in west Delhi after the girl somehow managed to flee and return home.

The victim, in her complaint to police, said that a couple residing in her neighbourhood took her to Jaipur on August 29 on the pretext of providing her job.

“On reaching Jaipur, the couple took the victim at a rented place and the next day she was taken into a hotel where she was gangraped by some unidentified people,” said a police official citing the victim’s statement.

“The girl was kept captive inside the hotel till August 31, but she managed to flee from there the next day. She somehow managed to reach Jaipur bus stand from where she took a bus for Delhi,” the official said.

According to the official, six people including the couple have been arrested and hunt is on for others.
