Miscreants Set Ablaze Motorbike at Balmatta

Mangaluru: A motorbike was set ablaze by unidentified miscreants near the Juice Junction Building at Balmatta here on May 2.

Speaking to mangalorean.com, bike owner Kiran Crasta said that from the past 2 months he has been parking his bike bearing registration number KA 19 EB 4334 Suzuki GS- 150 R, below CA Vivian’s office premises at Balmatta since he has been working under CA Vivian and at the same time pursuing CA course. As the examinations were approaching he was staying in the same building for revision.

He further said that on May 1, at around 4:30 pm, he had parked his bike below his office and had gone to work. On May 2, he was surprised to see his bike in a completely charred condition. People in the neighborhood said that on May 2, at around 2:00 am they saw the bike on fire and called the fire Brigade. The fire brigade came immediately and doused the fire and averted a big mishap from taking place.

Kadri police on May 2 visited the spot and have taken the statement of the bike owner.

A case has been registered in the Kadri police station.
