Moodbidri: Cattle-trafficking Vehicle Rolls over Alangar – Culprits Escape, Cows Seized

Moodbidri: The police from here received a reliable tip-off regarding cattle being illegally transported in a vehicle arriving from Beluvai towards Moodbidri on Monday morning.

They chased the vehicle, the driver of which on seeing the police following the vehicle, started speeding. At Alangar junction, the vehicle went out of his control and rolled over on the road around 7 am.

The men in the vehicle, taking advantage of the foggy conditions, are said to have escaped immediately. The police seized three cows and the vehicle in which had been confined.

Efforts are being made to identify the traffickers and to nab them.
