She had complained about the inadequate facilities in the hostel room to the warden on July 17. A CCTV footage shows that on July 25, instead of going to college, she walked on the road towards Mangaluru.

She is five and a half foot tall and is of fair complexion. She speaks English and Sinhalese. A complaint has been filed in the police station here.

Upon being enquired about her, the police said that since her passport and related documents were yet to be stamped, there are less chances of her having flown abroad. She could be staying in some hotel or friend’s place or may be trying for an airline ticket or visa.

Anyone finding her is requested to contact the Moodbidri police on 08258 236333 / +91 94808 02314 or the office of the Mangaluru city police commissioner on 0824 2220801 / 2220800.
