Moodbidri: Restaurant Owner Robbed of Cash and Gold near Old Court Premises

Moodbidri: Two unidentified persons robbed a restaurant owner of cash and gold chain near the old court premises in the early morning hours on Saturday.

Parshwanath Jain, resident of Ladi Prantya, runs a restaurant near the old court premises. As part of his daily routine, he had just arrived at his restaurant and was getting off his car around 5-30 am.

Two strangers arrived in another car and blocked his way. One of them flashed a knife and held his palm around Jain’s mouth while another snatched his gold chain, Rs 8,500, a mobile phone, the ignition key of the car and the restaurant keys.

Jain has filed a complaint at the town police station. He could note down the number of the car as KA19 N 1973. On enquiries, the police have found out that the car used by the miscreants had been stolen from Thokkottu near Ullal on Friday night.
