Moodbidri: Seven Accused in Prashant Poojari Murder Sent to Ballari Jail

Moodbidri: Seven persons accused in the murder of Prashant Poojary, a Bajrang Dal worker, last month, have been ordered by a court here to be lodged in Ballari jail for 15 days’ custody.

In all, the police have arrested ten persons in this connection. Among them, Liaqat and Abdul Rasheed of Bantwal and Mohammed Ilyas of Prantya had already been sent to Ballari jail.

The others – Badruddin and Imtiaz of Gantalkatte, Haneef Todar, Kabir Kandavara, Mustafa Kavoor, Mustafa Bajpe and Mustafa Bajpe – had been remanded to police custody up to Oct 31.

They were produced in court again and were ordered to be lodged in Ballari jail for another fifteen days.
