Mulki: Deafening Sound of Thunder Leaves Woman, Girl Student Unconscious

Mulki: A few cases of lightning hit have been reported from Charantipete, Akkasaligara lane and Kokkarakal have been reported early Saturday morning.

The town experienced heavy showers in the early hours. As the sun began shining, with receding chances of shower again, a loud sound of thunder was heard.

It was literally a bolt from the blue for a female nursing student and a woman who were walking on the street in Charantipete. Unnerved and shocked, they fell to the ground after losing consciousness. They were taken to a hospital and they are said to be recovering.

Severe damage has been caused by lightning to computers, telephone sets, CCTV cameras etc. in many establishments.
