Mulki: The Divine Call Retreat Centre at Karnad, celebrated the 11th anniversary of its existence on Saturday 03 October 2015. It was on 01 October 2004, the Centre had opened its gates wide to the people who wanted to experience the love of God in their lives. One gentleman was heard saying: “It has been 11 years, since I have experienced so many wonders and miracles in this holy place. I have given witness many times here.” This almost sums up the feelings of many of the faithful people who continue to come here regularly, or the people who come for the first time. Time and again, during every residential 5-days retreat, a number of people give their testimony to healing that they have experienced. The Lord continues to work wonders in the lives of people who believe.
The celebrations included a day of prayer from 0900 am to 0100 pm with Solemn Festive Mass which was celebrated by Fr Francis Xavier Gomes, Parish Priest of Immaculate Conception Church, Mulki and concelebrated by several other priests of the Centre and Deanery. Fr Valerian Fernandes SVD, the Director of Divine Call Centre preached the homily. Many from the nearby parishes and from far and wide had gathered for the celebration.
The Director of the Centre expressed his gratitude to the people and DCC TEAM and thanked all the Sponsors, Donors, Benefactors, Well Wishers, friends for their generosity and prayers for the growth of the Centre, where thousands of people continue to experience the healing touch. Festive lunch was served to all those who attended the Centre’s Anniversary celebration.
