Mulki: Interstate Thieves’ Gang Nabbed – Loot Worth Rs 4.36 Lakh Seized

Mulki: A gang of four, which has been breaking into houses in Mulki surroundings in the recent past, has been nabbed by the local police.

They have been found involved in thefts in Tokur school, MCT school, Pavanje, Haleyangadi, Kallapu, Bethany school in Kilpady, Madeline school, Lingappayakadu, Padupanambur and Brahhma Baidarkala shrine in Chantaru in Brahmavar of Udupi district.

Gold and silver materials and house equipment and appliances worth Rs 4.36 lakh have been seized from their possession.

The arrested persons – Manikantha aka Krishna (19), Manjunath (19), Ganesh aka Taru (26) and Shiva aka Raju (21) – all hail from Mariamma temple locality in Salem of Tamil Nadu and could be part of a professional gang, according to police sources.
