Mulki: Woman Walking along Bappanadu Beach Road Loses Chain to Snatcher

Mulki: Many women, in spite of regular snatching incidents reported in the media, appear to continue the practice of wearing expensive gold ornaments while moving around alone, esp., in deserted areas.

In yet another incident, Pushpa Salian, a resident of beach road in Bappanadu, lost her three-and-a-half sovereign gold chain to a snatcher. As she walked along towards her home, a stranger was standing by the side speaking on his mobile phone. He asked her the house of some person and she replied that she did not know.

As she walked ahead, the man is said to have snatched her chain and sped away in his bike.

Pushpa has filed a complaint in the Mulki police station.
