Muslims always welcome on Facebook: Mark Zuckerberg

New York, Dec 10 (IANS) In what could be seen as a reply to the US Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s call to ban Muslims from entering the US, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has welcomed Muslims to be part of the social giant and its growing users’ community.

In a post on Wednesday, the Facebook founder wrote: “I want to add my voice in support of Muslims in our community and around the world”.

“After the Paris attacks and hate this week, I can only imagine the fear Muslims feel that they will be persecuted for the actions of others,” he added.

Zuckerberg, who was blessed with a girl child recently, urged the world not to “succumb to cynicism”.

“If you are a Muslim in this community, as the leader of Facebook I want you to know that you are always welcome here and that we will fight to protect your rights and create a peaceful and safe environment for you,” he posted.

“As a Jew, my parents taught me that we must stand up against attacks on all communities. Even if an attack isn’t against you today, in time attacks on freedom for anyone will hurt everyone,” he continued.

Trump, the Republican front-runner for the November 2016 presidential election, has proposed banning Muslims from entering the US.

Zuckerberg further wrote: “Having a child has given us so much hope, but the hate of some can make it easy to succumb to cynicism. We must not lose hope”.

Facebook has been receiving some criticism for local censorship laws, especially in the Middle East.

But Zuckerberg reiterates that Facebook will remain a home for people of all faith and beliefs.

“As long as we stand together and see the good in each other, we can build a better world for all people,” he added.

  1. Mr.Mark Zuchenbergh, being a Jew telling openly to the Muslims what he is deeply feeling. His father a Dentist and mother a Psychologist taught him values of life. He is going to give away 99% of his wealth for the poor people of the world. What Donald Trump has done for the poor people so far? His gambling business and other real estate business has financially ruined so many people.

Donald Trump is the biggest political actor of this generation. He ruthlessly ridiculed a news paper reporter, he has business in the Muslim countries, he has close association with some business people who are with solid mafia connection, and avoiding interview because he is hiding a lot of truths.

The Muslim countries must take the stern action, don’t allow him to land in any Muslim country.

How the GCC countries are very close to the U.S.?

Doha was the military base of the U.S. during the war against Iraq while Iraq took Kuwait.
The Sultanate of Oman has U.S. Naval base.
U.A.E, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain are closely linked with the U.S.

Those people cheering for Donald Trump don’t have any idea about the relationship of the U.S. with the Muslim nations of the world.

  2. Donald Trump wanted to deport 11 million illegal immigrants in the U.S., majority of them from the South American countries, mainly from Mexico. The forefathers of the nation had the Bible as their constitution, and gave greater priority for the suffering world. Those 11 million immigrants walked through the dangerous path to reach the U.S. for a better life of having belly full of food. The law breaking was less important than the pain of hunger.

Personally, I know many illegals, and their children are attending schools, and do some charitable work for them.

Donald Trump is a cold-hearted person, and GOD will open the eyes of the cheering followers of the Republican party to see the reality of life, and to learn his real personality.

  3. “The forefathers of the nation had the Bible as their constitution” – AS ‘Beef’ Mathew.

WHAAAAT ??????????? Bible is our constitution? LOL This guy’s worldviews are very strange and delusional.
