New Arrivals of 6-year-old Lion, Dalmatian Pelican at Pilikula

Mangaluru: In the latest exchange programme, more and more birds and animals are being added to the population at Pilikula Nisargadhama. An 8-year-old tiger Kumara and a 6-year-old Afro Asian Lioness have been sent to Udaipur Zoo in Rajasthan.

From the Udaipur Zoo a 6-year-old Lion Prashanth, Dalmatian Pelican and various breed of birds have been brought to the Pilikula Zoo.

Already Tigers from Pailikula Zoo have been sent to Hyderabad, Surat and Bannerughatta Zoo.

“At present there are 11 tigers in the Pilikula Zoo and measures have been taken to bring a pair of White Tigers to the Zoo”, said the director of Pilikula Nisargadhama H J Bhandary.

The Lion and birds are already on display and can be viewed by visitors.
