Mangalore: Upon receiving a reliable tip-off, the Urwa police led by sub inspector raided a house in Kalbavi, Urwa Stores area and arrested four men and three women.

A complaint had been received that the house was being used as a vice den for sex trade. The arrested are said to belong to distant states. They have been sent for medical examination.  The police are investigating further.

There have been unconfirmed reports that a large group of Bangladeshi women is in the city and is engaged in sex trade. On interrogation, however, they claim to hail from different districts of Paschimbanga, said a cop on condition of anonymity.
