Udupi :  Akshata Kulal, student of Mount Roasary English Medium School, Kallianpur, who bagged the first place in SSLC in Udupi district, was felicitated on behalf of Perdur Kulala Sangha at its annual meeting and community convention recently.

Sangha president and taluk panchayat member Rama Kulal Pakkalu presided over the function. Kumbarara Mahasangha president Shiva Kumar Chowdashetty in his speech said, "Parents must be well aware of the opportunities before them in the matter of educating their children.  Poverty need not make children abandon their studies now. People belonging to backward communities even can register good achievements. This has been demonstrated by a few no. Akshata Kulal is a source of inspiration to many others in this regard.  Our students can now look forward to taking up IAS, IPS and other competitive exams."

Community leaders Dr Annayya Kulal, Dr M V Kulal of Kundapur Manjunath Hospital,  Sathish Kulal,  Krishna Malpe, Krishna Kulal Kodibettu, Pragulla S Kulal, Shanker Kulal Perampalli and others were present on the occasion.

Dinesh Kulal welcomed the guests.  Secretary Krishnappa Kulal gave introductory remarks.  Kalu Kulala   placed before the audience financial statements.  Rajesh Kulal proposed a vote of thanks.
